The League Room

Privacy

The League Room is a private site for a group of friends' fantasy football leagues. The live scores page is public; everything else is for people a commissioner has added.

What we keep

Your username and name, so you can sign in and so the league pages can say who you are. Your password is stored only as a salted scrypt hash; nobody, including the site owner, can read it back. Signed-in devices are stored as a browser and system label (for example "Safari on iPhone") and the time last used, so you can sign a device out. We do not store your IP address in the database.

League data comes from the league's ESPN fantasy pages: teams, scores, rosters, drafts and transactions, along with the names ESPN shows for managers (for an account that never chose a handle, the first and last name on that ESPN account). League pages show team names only unless the league's admin switches people's names on; the commissioner can then replace any of these with the name the league knows the person by. It is shown only to members of that league.

What we don't do

No ads, no analytics or tracking scripts, no selling or sharing of data. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.

Who else touches it

Cloudflare carries traffic to the site (and may run a bot check on the sign-in form). ESPN is the source of the scores and league data. The live scores page loads team logos, and the league pages load player pictures and NFL team logos, from ESPN's image servers (so ESPN can see your address when your browser fetches them; no cookie or page address is sent). The picture each manager set for their team is downloaded by this site's server, using the league's ESPN login, and shown from this site to the league's members only.

Your choices

Sign out of any device from your account page. To be removed from a league or have your account deleted, ask your commissioner or write to [email protected].

The site is for adults. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
